Obituary for John Joseph Connolly III

CONNOLLY, John Joseph III – 69, of North Haledon passed away on November 5, 2019. Born in Hoboken he lived in Old Bridge before moving to North Haledon 42 years ago. He was an appraiser of commercial equipment and the owner of Connolly Consulting LLC in Glen Rock formerly of Nationwide Consulting. He was a member and past president of the American Society of Appraisers, a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and a former member of the Masonic Lodge. John loved to golf, a true avid golfer.

Beloved husband of Claudette (nee Tanguay) Connolly of North Haledon.
Devoted father of Jeanine Justice and her husband Mike of Texas, Renee Cullari and her husband Scott of Nutley, Shawn Connolly and his wife Meghan of Wayne and Jacqueline Ten Kate and her husband Ryan of Ringwood.
Loving grandfather of Brad Jr., Brianna, Nicholas, Alayna, Gianna, Aiden and Carter John.

Dear brother of Jeanne Dexheimer of Monroe Township, Kathleen Surak of Paramus, Kevin Connolly of New Milford and the late Karen Olsen.
Beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive family and friends on Friday from 4:00-8:00 pm at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
Funeral Services Saturday 10:00 am at the funeral home followed by an 11:00 AM Mass at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, NJ.
Private Cremation.

The family requests donations be made in John’s memory to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
