Obituary for Barbara Kincaid (Pohlman)

KINCAID, Barbara (nee Pohlman) – 75, of Haskell passed away on September 17, 2018. Born in Paterson October 3, 1942; daughter of late Anna (Spitzer) Pohlman (d 1/1/2010) and the late William Pohlman (d 7/30/2000); married the late Robert G. Kincaid (d 5/19/2016) on April 4, 1964.

She attended Central High School in Paterson but graduated from the “new” Manchester High School in Haledon.

During her lifetime she resided in Prospect Park, Haledon and North Haledon. After their marriage, she and Robert settled in Haskell, NJ. Her employment career included State Farm Insurance Company, Meyer Brothers Department Stores and Hardware Design, Inc., from which she retired.

With Robert, she enjoyed Flea Markets, Snow Mobileing and watching Stock Car Racing. She was a lifelong fan of the Yankees, rarely missing a broadcasted game. Animal lovers, they provided shelter for any number of dogs, cats and geese. Their cherished pets were Spudzy, Lucy and Missy.

She is survived by her Sister in law, Cathy Kincaid of North Haledon; cousin, Carolyn Craig of Hewitt and dear friends Ron and Jane Wright of Ringwood.

A special thanks to Dr. Martin Neilan and Karen for years of support and care and the 4th Floor Nurses and Aides, especially Jeffrey and Sherry, at the Wanaque Care Center, Haskell.

The family will receive family and friends on Thursday from 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
Funeral Services Friday 10 am at the funeral home.
Interment Christ The King Cemetery.
