PINO, Wanda, (nee Plackwic) 93, of North Haledon, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021. She was born in Paterson to Stanley and Stephanie (nee Lapinski) Plackwic on November 3, 1927. Wanda is formerly of Fairlawn and moved to North Haledon in 1957. Before her retirement she worked as a cook at Stefano Food Service in Scotch Plains, NJ. She continued to use these skills at home as she was truly a fantastic cook. She will also be remembered for the wonderful baked goods she blessed so many with. Wanda loved the ocean and enjoyed many summers with her family at Ortley Beach, NJ. But her greatest passion was her children and her grandchildren, spending time together making memories. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and they will all miss her dearly.

Wanda was predeceased by her devoted husband James in 2015. She will be lovingly remembered by her son James Pino and his wife Alberta of Prospect Park, her daughter Joan Beun and her husband John of Wayne, and her son Michael Pino and his wife Arlene of North Haledon. Wanda also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Kristen Bibik, Jodi Ann Wostbrock and her husband Daniel, and James Pino.

Friends may visit on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 3 PM – 7 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, July 17 at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wanda’s memory to Vitas Healthcare Hospice Unit at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital, 220 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ 07470.
