Telesforo Leon Garcia, age 95 of Bronx, NY went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2021. He was born in Maunabo, Puerto Rico to Florencio Leon and Magdalena Garcia, and he has lived in the Bronx for the past 50 years. Telesforo was a local 32BJ building maintenance supervisor at Rudin Management in NYC, a commercial real estate company.

Telesforo “Garcia” was predeceased by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carmen Leon in April 2020. Loving father of Evelyn Crespo and her husband Anthony, Eduardo Cuesta and his wife Michele, and of Telesforo (Teddy) Leon Jr. and his wife Victoria.

He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Jennifer Esquerre, Elizabeth and Michael Crespo, David and Diana Leon, Edward, Erika, Iliana, Natalie and Manuel Cuesta and beautiful great grandchildren: Briana and Aidan Blanco, Sophia Leon, Gabriella Esquerre and Nathaniel, Tyler and Manuel Ayende Cuesta. His sisters Ana Moore and Arcadia Leon survive him.

Telesforo “Garcia” was a faithful, kind, loving and giving man. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Garcia was loved by his children, grandchildren, family and friends.

The Leon Garcia family will receive family and friends at the Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ on Friday, October 8 from 2-4 and 6 -8 PM. Funeral service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.

Telesforo “Garcia” will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
