Obituary for Seyed Ali Akbar Fahimi
FAHIMI, Ali Akbar, age 87 of Franklin Lakes, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Born in Iran on July 20, 1933, he lived in New Jersey since 2005. He was a retired electrical engineer, and minister of energy in the state of Mazandaran. He was passionate about helping underserved people and brought electricity to 3,000 villages.
He was a loving, devoted husband to his wife Parvin Ghobadi for 60 years. Beloved father of Neda Fahimi of Wayne, Negin Fahimi and her partner Kevin O’Neill of Wyckoff, and Nader Fahimi and his wife Maggie Serafin Fahimi of Franklin Lakes. Adored grandfather of Kevin, Tara, Patrick, Sabrina, Ryan, Darius and Daria.
Family and friends can visit on Sunday February 14, from 3-5 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Interment and graveside service at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ at 12:15 pm on Saturday Feb 13.
