Obituary for Salvatore Joseph Laurice

LAURICE, Salvatore, J of Oakland passed away peacefully at home on July 31, 2020 at the age of 88. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in Oakland since 1957. Salvatore proudly served in the Marines during the Korean War. He received the Korean service medal and the United Nations service medal. He was employed by the Coco Cola Bottling Co. of N.Y. 40 years as a route salesman, supervisor, and distributor until his retirement. He was a member or the American Legion Post 369 and was their Grand Marshall in 2015. He also was a member of Oakland Seniors. Salvatore loved gardening, taking great pride in his yard, along with fishing from his boat "Good Times" in the Barnegat Bay area.
Loving husband of Joan Laurice (nee Maas) for 65 years.
Devoted father of Robert Laurice and his wife Lisa of Oakland, Johnny Laurice and his wife Laurie of Vernon, Andy Laurice and his wife Diane of Pompton Lakes, and Mary Van Dyke and her husband Barry of Vernon..
Cherished grandfather of 16 and great-grandfather of 12.
Salvatore is predeceased by his brothers John and Joseph and his grandson Andrew Van Dyke

A memorial mass will take place on at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 25 Purdue Ave, Oakland,NJ on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 10:30AM
