Obituary for Ronald J. McManus
MMcManus, Ronald J. 59 of Oakland on January 20, 2019. Born in New York Ronald had lived in North Haldon and Haledon before moving to Oakland a year ago. He was a laborer for Inter-County Paving in Hackettstown. He loved the horse races and sports, especially the New York Yankees and Giants.
Beloved husband of Valerie McManus (Nee Dykens) Devoted father of Ronald McManus of Oakland, Evan McManus and his wife Laura of Pompton Plains and Andrea McManus of Oakland. Loving Grandfather of Ronald III, Evan II and Audrey. Dear son of Marie LaBarck and the late James McManus. Brother of James McManus and his wife Lori, Jill Colella and her husband Rob and the late Jaqueline McManus. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and friends.
The family will receive family and friends on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Funeral Mass at St. Paul’s RC Church 286 Haledon Ave. Prospect Park on Wednesday 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ronald’s Memory to the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, 2 Shelter Lane, Oakland, NJ.
