Obituary for Noel Fousse (Kupfrian)

FOUSSE, Noel Fern, 87, of North Haledon, NJ, went home to our Lord on April 9, 2020. Born on January 12, 1933, in Hackensack, NJ, Noel was raised in Maywood, N.J., lived in Haledon, NJ, for 9 years, and then settled in North Haledon in 1963. Noel was a parishioner of St. Paul’s R.C. Church of Prospect Park, NJ.

Throughout the years, Noel was a loving wife and dedicated homemaker and was active in her community. She was a Den Leader with the Cub Scouts, and a Troop Leader with the Girl Scouts, both in North Haledon. She was a gifted cross-stitcher, producing many cherished heirlooms for her family and friends. She was a proud member of Stitcher’s Anonymous for many years.

Noel was preceded in death just two weeks ago by her husband Robert A. Fousse. They met in 1949 and were married in July of 1952. She was also predeceased by her parents, Arthur Kupfrian and Fern Flubacher. A truly devoted mother of Michael F. Fousse of Lebanon, TN., Timothy D. Fousse and his wife Maria of Cibolo, TX., Lauren C. Brobeck and her partner Raymond Taylor of Hawthorne NJ., Elizabeth L. Conklin of Somerset, NJ, and Patrick R. She was also predeceased by her sister Carolee Koehler, and grandson Justin W. Davis.

Arrangements by the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ. 07417. Due to the Coronavirus, a “Celebration of Life” will take place in the summer of 2020. We will honor both of our parents at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Noel’s memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or the Folds of Honor Scholarship Program.

Our condolences we love you both so much and are feeling the pain for you not being able to be with your mom and dad. The flesh part of us wants to hug and kiss them one more time but just think Jesus is doing that for us so for you and Maria and the rest of your family. God bless you all through this time of sorrow. Love always Bob and Sylvia

It’s with a sad heart I send my condolences for the passing of Mom. To all those in the family I send blessings. Many of you may not remember me. But many memories of your parents in North Haledon in Scouting and through friendships. God bless you all at this sad time.
