VAN BEVEREN, Nancy (Decker), age 75 of North Haledon, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 28, 2022. Nancy was born in Hackensack, NJ to John and Anne (DeJong) Decker. Formerly of Midland Park, she has been a resident of North Haledon for the past 35 years. Nancy was a loving wife of 51 years to the late Andrew Van Beveren who passed away in 2021. Before her retirement Nancy was a schoolteacher at Sicomac School in Wyckoff, and also taught piano for many years out of her home. Nancy was a devoted member of Living Word Reformed Church in North Haledon. She could often be found enjoying word search puzzles and loved watching Dr. Pol and Everyone Loves Raymond. Aside from all of Nancy’s talents and hobbies, her greatest passion was for her family, and she loved her grandchildren immensely.

Devoted mother to Jill Van Beveren of North Haledon, and Todd Van Beveren and his wife Christine of Somerset. Cherished grandmother to Andrew James, Brynn Noelle, Reese Mercedes, Cooper John, and Bryson Andrew. She also leaves behind her adoring sister Joan Dunkerely.

Friends may visit on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 5 – 7 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home. Funeral to be held on Friday, March 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
