DiVenuta, Matthew Biagio, 86, on July 22, 2021, of Lake Worth, Florida. Born and raised in Bloomfield, NJ. Matt lived in Oakland, NJ for many years, raising his family there, until he retired to Boca Raton, Florida in 1985. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 64 years, Joyce DiVenuta. Matt was devoted to Joyce, his family, his friends and especially his grandchildren. He was a former parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help of Oakland, NJ. While living in Oakland, Matt was very active with the Oakland Rotary as president and Paul Harris Fellowship Award winner.


Loving father of Patricia Grootenboer and her husband Jimmy, Steven DiVenuta and his wife Debra, Michele Chase and her husband Todd, and Tara Callenius and her husband Scott. Beloved grandfather (“Poppy”) of eight grandchildren and one great granddaughter.


Matt enjoyed every waking moment with Joyce. He loved cooking for and traveling with family and friends. Matt was a kind man, a great role model and a proud Italian American.


A private service will be held at Christ the King cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ.
