Obituary for Margaret Pronti (Gannon)
PRONTI, Margaret Rose (nee Gannon) 76 of Franklin Lakes, passed away on October 6, 2021. She was born in New York City to James Joseph and Bridget (Flynn) Gannon. Margaret was formerly of Little Ferry, Jersey City and Astoria, NY before moving to Franklin Lakes 25 years ago. Margaret worked in real estate management at Pronti Management in Jersey City. Margaret graduated in 1962 from Bishop McDonnell High School in Brooklyn, NY and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Arthur Pronti. She also leaves behind her brother James Gannon, and her sister Anne Gannon. Adored aunt to Alyssandra and Amanda Gannon, Gina Pronti, and Richard, Daniel, Joseph and Daniel H. Pronti. Also survived by Sisters-in-law Carmen Gannon, and Gloria Pronti, brothers-in-law Daniel Pronti and Richard Pronti, a host of grand nieces and nephews, cousins in New York, Massachusetts and Ireland, and many friends and co-workers.
The Pronti family will receive family and friends at the Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 4-8 PM. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 12 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, 25 Purdue Avenue, Oakland, NJ. Entombment to follow at Mary Rest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah, NJ.
