Obituary for Lucretia Thiessen (Vroegindewey)
THIESSEN, Lucretia (Vroegindewey), 88 of North Haledon, formerly of Wayne, NJ passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022. She was born in Hawthorne, NJ to John and Hester Vroegindewey. Lucretia was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas in 2019. Lucretia and Thomas lived in Wayne, NJ where they raised their two children. Lucretia was a Registered Nurse and worked at the Holland Christian Home in North Haledon before her retirement. She was a member of the Ebenezer Netherlands Reformed Church in Franklin Lakes.
Beloved mother of Thomas D. Thiessen and his fiancé Carol Ann Decker, and Diane Egan and her late husband David Graham. Loving sister to Cornelius Vroegindewey and his wife Rita, David Vroegindewey and his wife Marilyn, and Maryann Hasko and her husband Ronald. She was predeceased by her sister Elaine DeGraff.
Friends and family may visit the Thiessen family on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, from 9 – 11 AM at Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ with Funeral service to follow at 11 AM. Interment to follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
