FERGUSON, Lorraine M. (Walker), age 83, of Haledon, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Lorraine was born in Paterson, NJ to David and Mabel (Meyer) Walker on February 16, 1940. She married the love of her life, James Russell Ferguson, Sr. in 1958. In 1973 they moved to Haledon and raised three children together. Lorraine embraced the role of loving and nurturing mother and homemaker. Lorraine’s greatest passion in her life was for her family. Nothing meant more to her than spending time with her children and her grandchildren. Lorraine and James cherished 54 years of loving and loyal marriage together before James’ passing in 2012.

Lorraine was the most loving mother of James Ferguson of Oak Ridge, Dale Gardner and her husband John of Towaco, and Debra Ferguson of Haledon. Beloved grandmother of Chet Ferguson, Paige Gardner, and Holden Eller. She also leaves behind her half-brother Matthew Walker, and her sister-in-law, Gloria Walker. Lorraine was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.

Lorraine was truly a special person who touched the lives of many and will be sorely missed by her friends and family alike.

All services will be held privately by the family.
