Obituary for Laraine A. Corvo (Rossolillo)






CORVO, Laraine A. (Rossolillo), 78, of North Haledon, passed away on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey to Patrick and Helen (Sklader) Rossolillo, Laraine attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where she was a member of the Phi Zeta Kappa Honor Society.

Laraine met Joe, the love of each other’s lives, when they were students at Eastside High School 61 years ago. These high school sweethearts were happily married for 56 years. Together they co-owned Corvo Car Care Center in Fair Lawn and Center Stage Dance Supplies in Wyckoff. They travelled the world together and raised three loving daughters in North Haledon, NJ. She was a member of St. Mary’s RC Church in Pompton Lakes. In addition to her love of travel throughout the United States and Europe, Laraine was a serious student of American and local history, an avid reader, and an unwavering fan of the New York Giants and Seton Hall Pirates. Above all, Laraine was a committed and loving wife, mother, and “Mimi” to her 3 grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Corvo and daughters Lisa Giuriceo and her husband Anthony, Laura Meekings and her husband David, and Leslie Long and her husband Jason as well as her 3 beautiful grandchildren Patricia Giuriceo, Ellen Long, and Joseph Meekings. She was predeceased by her brother James Rossolillo.

Friends may visit the Corvo family on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 3:30 to 7:30 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Rd., Franklin Lakes. Funeral to be held on Friday, December 30 at 10 AM at St. Mary’s RC Church, 17 Pompton Avenue, Pompton Lakes. Interment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
