Obituary for Kenneth P. Broers
BROERS, Kenneth P., age 96, of North Haledon, formerly of Prospect Park, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022. Kenneth was born in Paterson, NJ to Peter and Rebecca (Woetzel) Broers. He has been a resident of North Haledon for 65 years. Kenneth was predeceased by his beloved wife Marian (Topp) in 1972. They shared 23 years of loving and loyal marriage together. Kenneth served his country faithfully in the U.S. Army during World War II. Kenneth was a foreman with Black Millwork Company in Allendale, NJ before his retirement in 1996.
Loving father of Kenneth Broers and his wife Jean of North Haledon, and Douglas Broers and his wife Barbara of Warwick, NY. He was predeceased by his son Peter in 2016. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Kenneth was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great- grandfather, and friend. He will be missed by so many who knew and loved him.
Friends and family may visit on Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Funeral service to be held immediately after visitation at 11:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
