Kobes, Jacqueline (nee Murray) age 61, of Franklin Lakes on Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Jacqueline was born in Queens, NY. Prior to moving to Franklin Lakes 20 years ago, she had lived in Westchester, NY. Jacqueline was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Franklin Lakes. She was an active and proud member of the Valley Hospital Auxiliary. She kept busy with her children and sports and enjoyed playing tennis and paddle ball at the Indian Trail Club, Franklin Lakes.

Jacqueline is survived by her beloved husband Gary Kobes of Franklin Lakes, and her loving children, Michael Kobes of Brooklyn, NY, and Lauren Kobes of Franklin Lakes.

The Kobes family will receive family and friends at the Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ on Friday from 3-7 PM. Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth’s RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Jacqueline’s memory to Valley Hospital Auxiliary, 223 North Van Dien Ave., Ridgewood, NJ 07450.

Covid is rewriting the norms of farewell and new traditions are emerging with social distancing bringing new challenges to the grieving process. Jackie’s family truly appreciates the outpouring of love and support and is not expecting people to be physically present. If you are uncomfortable or unable to take part in the services that have been planned for Jackie, the family understands and shares your concern In lieu of your physical presence, the family is most grateful for a card or letter to share your memories with them.

Jackie was a loving and giving person, she gave her time generously to serve our local community. The Interment and repass will be immediate family only. To celebrate her beautiful life, please consider paying a good deed forward in her honor.
