Obituary for Ilene Rita Vitale (Bouse)
Vitale, Ilene Rita, 93, of Franklin Lakes, passed away on February 15, 2021. She was born in Paterson on May 7, 1927 to Agnes (nee Sweetman) and Christopher Bouse. After graduating from East Side High School in Paterson, she went on to graduate from Paterson General Nursing School as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Paterson General Hospital before her retirement. She was a parishioner of Most Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Franklin Lakes.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Oscar Vitale, in 1998. She is survived by her four sons, Neil Vitale and his wife Lynn of New York, Joseph Vitale and his wife Susan of Franklin Lakes, Craig Vitale of New York, and Christopher and his wife Sharon of Butler. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Neil, Steve, Melissa, Meagan, Joseph, Mary, Michelle, Alicia, Travis, Eric, and Shawna. Beloved great-grandmother of 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Frances Vitale, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may visit the Vitale family on Friday from 5-8 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, 25 Purdue Avenue, Oakland, NJ. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa, NJ.
