Grinyer, Ian – 74 of Haledon peacefully entered the full presence of Jesus on Friday, November 11th, 2022 surrounded by his family. Born in December 1947 in Orpington, Kent England to Douglas and Joyce Grinyer. He attended Ravenborne College of Art & Design in London, England. He was a missionary with Operation Mobilization to Dublin, Ireland where he met his loving wife Nancy(nee Rink). They were married in Dublin in September of 1972. Nancy brought Ian to the United States in 1974 where they resided in Haledon, NJ and had their three daughters. He was a print shop owner in Bloomingdale, NJ until retiring to his true passion of painting and teaching art where ever and whenever he had the opportunity.
Beloved and devoted husband of 50 years to Nancy Grinyer. Loving Father of Breann La Cour of Tacoma WA, Bethany La Placa and her husband Kenneth of West Milford, Joyann(Rosie) Demont of Haledon and grandfather of Tristin, Jenaya, Sarah, Annabelle and Corey. Predeceased by his parents and brother Julian Grinyer. Brother in a Christ to many.
Ian was a kind and gentle man with a servant’s heart for his family, friends, and the city of Paterson. He loved the Lord with his whole heart. Ian used the artistic talent God had given him to point straight to Jesus and revival in the United States.
Family and friends may visit on Sunday, November 13th 2-5pm at VanderPlatt-Vermulen Funeral Home 530 High Mountain Road Franklin Lakes, NJ. Celebration of life will take place on Sunday, November 20th 2-4pm at the West Milford Apshawa Fire house 666 Macopin Road West Milford, NJ 07480.
