Obituary for Helen Baker (Fisher)
Baker, Helen (nee Fisher) - 93, of North Haledon, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 10, 2019. Born in Paterson to the late John & Fanny (nee DeJong) Fisher. Beloved wife of the late Norman Baker for 57 years. Cherished mother of daughter Barbara Higby and her husband Richard of Midland Park; son Jack and his wife Linda of Wyckoff; son Ken and his wife Annelies of Holland, Michigan; daughter Susan Troast and her husband Ron of Delaware; son Bill of Nevada. Helen enjoyed the love of 15 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Younger sister of Charles Fisher of Michigan and a faithful member of Midland Park Christian Reformed Church.
A memorial service will be held 4pm on Sunday, November 17, at Cornerstone Christian Church, 495 Wyckoff Ave., Wyckoff, NJ, with visitation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in Helen’s memory may be made to Samaritan’s Purse at sasmaritanspurse.org.
