Obituary for Farid Beshay
Farid Awadalla Beshay(Papa), passed on Monday January 4, 2021. He lived for 80 wonderful years.
Farid was born in Alexandria Egypt to the late Awadalla Beshay and Mary Zaki in 1940. Papa was an importer and exporter in Alexandria Egypt for many years, during his spare time he enjoyed fixing and repairing hand watches, a skill he had acquired from his father. Papa resided in Egypt for forty nine years before immigrated permanently to the United States in August, 1990 to secure a better future his son Jack and daughter Janit. Papa resided in Kearny NJ for many years until purchasing his first home in Hackensack NJ.
Papa always worked multiple jobs to support his family. Papa fully financed his daughter’s undergraduate studies at Saint Peter’s College and was thrilled to see her pursue a master degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Papa was most happy surrounded by his children and friends. His world was his daughter Janit and son Jack. Jack (Checo) may you rest in peace papa.
Farid was the loving, most caring, father of Janit Beshay daughter, and partner Keith Johnstone, and Jack Beshay son, all of West Milford.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday January 11th at Vander Plaat Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ from
9:00 AM – 11:30 AM. Funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM. Interment at Redeemer Cemetery, 90 Chapel Road, Mahwah, NJ.
