MICHALOWSKI Sr., Edwin, age 92, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022. Edwin was born in Clifton, NJ to Peter and Stella Michalowski. He was formerly of Paterson and Hawthorne and lived in North Haledon for over 60 years. Prior to his retirement, he was in management with ITT in Nutley for over 40 years. Edwin was a parishioner of St. Paul’s RC Church in Prospect Park where he also served as their lector and was in the choir. Edwin was a graduate of Eastside High School, past president of the Quarter Century Club, member of the Blue Marble Club, and past president of the Golden Age Senior Citizens Club. He was a cub scout master pack #70 leader, organized mixed league bowling teams, and coached North Haledon boys baseball. He proudly served his country in the United States Naval Reserves. You could often find Edwin fishing and spending time at the NJ shore.

Edwin leaves behind his loving wife of 71 years, Marilyn (nee Galuszka), his sons Edwin Michalowski Jr. and his wife Rosina, Thomas Michalowski and his wife Lynn, and daughter the late Patricia Miller and her husband Kenneth. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren T.J., Laura, and Lisa, and great-grandchildren Austin, Celia, and Alana. He is predeceased by his brother Peter Michalowski.

Family and friends are invited to join the family at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Rd., Franklin Lakes, NJ on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4 - 8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Ave., Prospect Park, NJ. Entombment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery, Paterson, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Edwin’s memory to St. Paul’s R.C. Church.
