Obituary for Dorothy Stefanak (Herman)

STEFANAK, Dorothy, 93, of Landing, New Jersey on June 4, 2021. Dorothy was born in New York to Paul and Jean Herman. She had lived in Boonton prior to moving to Landing 30 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 1987 she worked as a an assembler for Johanson Manufacturing in Boonton, NJ. Dorothy was a member of Our Lady of the Lake RC church in Mt. Arlington, NJ and was a member of the senior citizens group and Rosary Society.

Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Frank Stefanak (1989). Dear mother of Frank Stefanak and his wife Mary Ellen of Landing NJ and Janine Burkart and her husband Paul of North Haledon. Loving grandmother of Stephen Stefanak and Alexandra Podlaski. Sister of Charles Herman, Elaine Mitchell, Janet Greco, Ginger DeGenaro and the late Paul Herman.

A private cremation was held, and a memorial mass will be scheduled at a later date at Our Lady of the Lake RC church in Mt. Arlington, NJ. Memorial contributions in Dorothy’s memory may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
