Obituary for Doris Tourso (Humcke)
TOURSO, Doris (Humcke), 88, of Wyckoff, passed away on September 5, 2021. Doris was born in Jersey City, NJ to Frederick Humcke and Mary Wilson. Formerly of Wayne, Doris moved to Wyckoff 10 years ago. Before her retirement, Doris was an Executive Secretary with New Penn Motor Express in Kearny, NJ.
Doris leaves behind her devoted sons Thomas and his wife Denise of Glen Rock, and David and his wife Patti of Morris Plains. Adored grandmother to Ashley, Alyssa, Emily, David, and Hailee Tourso. Doris is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Ruth and her brother Alfred.
The Tourso family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at the Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ from 4 PM – 6:30 PM. Funeral service to be held following the visiting at 6:30 PM at the funeral home. Interment at Clover Leaf Memorial Park, 931 US Highway 1, Woodbridge, NJ will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Doris’ memory to Shriners Children’s Hospital, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
