Obituary for Charlotte Marino (Lyons)
MARINO, Charlotte (nee Lyons) 84, of Franklin Lakes, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, July 14, 2021. She was born in Newark, NJ to Frances and Florence (nee Esposito) Lyons. Charlotte was an Administrator with Allied Stores, Inc. in Paramus before her retirement. Charlotte’s greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed spending time at their vacation home in Hilton Head Island, and she was an avid golfer and tennis player.
Charlotte leaves behind her adoring husband, Vincent Marino. Beloved mother to Linda Dooney, Karen Klayman and her husband Alan, and Steven Marino and his wife Annamarie. Devoted grandmother to Jarrod, Tyler and his wife Andrea, Marina Wheelhouse and her husband Jonathan , Caroline, Nicole, Sarah, Kathryn, Patrick, and Nicholas. Charlotte also leaves her sister Rose Salameno and was predeceased by her sister Francis Lyons.
Friends may visit on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 4 PM – 7 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 19 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 25 Purdue Avenue, Oakland. Interment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Charlotte’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
