HALMA, Barbara Ann, 66, of Hawthorne, NJ passed on to her Heavenly Home on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at Vitas Hospice in Wayne, NJ, surrounded by her loving family. Dearly loved daughter, sister, aunt, and great-aunt. She was a registered nurse at Barnert Hospital and St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Paterson for many years before a lengthy struggle with declining health. She had become a regular online worshipper at Community Christian Reformed Church in Wyoming, MI.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Helen Halma, and by her sister, Linda. She is survived by her siblings, Neil Edward Halma and his wife Deborah of East Hanover, Ruth Halma of Prospect Park, Joan Vander Haak and her husband Bob of WA state, and brother-in-law Michael McCoy of MD. Also survived by cherished nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and a great niece.

Friends and family may visit the Halma family on Friday, January 14th, 2022, from 10:00-11:00am at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ. Memorial service to follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
