Obituary for Anne "Minnie" D'Amelio (Rusciano)

D’AMELIO, Anne “Minnie” (nee Rusciano) – age 92, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019. Born May 28, 1926 to the late Mary and Thomas Rusciano of Marshall Street, Paterson, NJ. Anne attended school in Paterson and then went on to work for a soldering company. She married her fiancé Anthony D’Amelio on May 17, 1952. They lived in East Paterson, Haledon and then built their home in Paterson. They were married for 54 years and had 2 children Angelo and Toni Ann. Anne was a stay at home mom. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and spending time with her children. She also loved taking long walks around the neighborhood. She loved spending summers with her family down the shore, and it wasn’t long before they built a second home in Toms River. Family and friends would visit often and there were many good times and memories made.

Anne was pre-deceased in death by her husband Anthony, her son-in-law Kenneth, her sister’s Sarah, Flo, Lee, Rosie, Sophie and her brothers Tony and Mike. She is survived by her son Angelo and his wife Donna, her daughter Toni Ann, her grandchildren, Anthony, Toni Marie, Kenny and his wife Melissa, Richie and Kristen as well as her two great-grandchildren, Dayne and Sage. She is also survived by her sister Marie Marino


Viewing Ceremony will be held on Thursday, January 31, 2019 from 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
Funeral Services Friday 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Mass at St. Gerard’s R.C. Church, Paterson.
The burial will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Calvary Cemetery.
