Anna Marie Jachts was escorted by angels to meet her God, husband, and family on June 13, 2022.
Ann was born on August 10, 1939, in Jersey City, NJ into a loving Italian American family. She worked as secretary at First National Bank in Paterson as a young woman. She married her high school sweetheart Martin Jachts and raised two children in Hawthorne and Sparta, NJ. She was a devoted mother and put great emphasis on family ties. Later, she graduated from County College of Morris with a degree in Business Administration and was a successful Sales Representative at Seegott Inc, a distribution business that she and her husband built together.
Ann enjoyed family gatherings, knitting, Scrabble, cards, cooking, fine dining, sailing on Lake Mohawk, and travel- especially historic hotels of America. Her Roman Catholic faith was a guiding light for her entire life, and she left that legacy of faith to her entire family. She also found profound satisfaction with Martin as eucharistic ministers within her own parish and while travelling to Senior Living facilities.
Ann is survived by her beloved children Darren Jachts and his wife Victoria and Dana Jachts Friedl and her husband Michael, her six beloved grandchildren (Julia, Loudon and Marissa Friedl and Diana, Veronica and Jessica Jachts), her beloved sister Kathleen Perrone and her husband Craig, beloved brother Dennis Azzolina and his wife Susan and many special nieces, nephews and cousins whose lives she touched with grace and generosity.
She was preceded in death by her husband Martin C. Jachts and brother Joseph Azzolina.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 4-8 PM at the Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 25 Purdue Ave., Oakland. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
