Obituary for Anita G. Yuppa (Olofsson)
YUPPA, Anita (nee Olofsson)- 82, of Franklin Lakes passed away on January 6, 2019. Born in Sweden she came to the United States in 1964 residing in Woodland Park before moving to Franklin Lakes 46 years ago. A graduate of The Karolinska Institute in Stockholm Sweden where she received her degree in Nursing , Anita was a Registered Nurse at Montefiore Hospital in New York retiring in 1967 and then working as a Registered Nurse at Hackensack Hospital. Anita also taught at the Temple Beth Rishon Nursery School in Wyckoff.
Beloved wife of Dr. Joseph Yuppa of Franklin Lakes. Devoted mother of Paul Yuppa and his wife Laurette of Wayne and Christina Salvaterra and her husband Dan of Roseland. Loving grandmother of Niklas and Ethan.
Dear sister of Mats Olofsson and Dorrit Delaryd both of Sweden.
The family will receive family and friends on Thursday from 3-7 pm followed by a 7 pm service at Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Anita’s memory to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 135 Parkinson Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10305.
