MAALOUF, Amin F., 83, of Toms River passed away on April 21, 2020. Amin was born in Kfaraakab, Lebanon. He began working and traveling the world at an early age and met his wife, Mary, during one of these travels. He immigrated to the United States 50 years ago and eventually settled in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Toms River, NJ 7 years ago, although his first love remained his childhood home in Lebanon, to which he frequently traveled.

Amin was predeceased by his son, Salim; his parents, Fahed and Aleska; nephew, Faysal; and his loving sister, May.

Amin is survived by his devoted wife, Mary, to whom he was married for 49 years; his children, Waleed Maalouf and his wife Melissa of Medford, NY, and Nada Peters and her husband Joseph, of Franklin Lakes, NJ; his grandchildren, Jenna and Gia Peters, who brought so much joy to his life in his later years; his loving sister Mouna and nieces, Chaden, Roula, and Kinda in Lebanon. He also leaves behind many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews, who he loved and who loved him very much.

Arrangements by the Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ 07417. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services will be held privately by the family. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
