TOUW, Alice (Allman), 98, of Pompton Plains, passed away on September 8, 2021. Alice was born in Passaic, NJ to Jacob and Sarah (Scraver) Allman. She had lived in Wayne and Toms River before moving to Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains 18 years ago. Before her retirement, Alice was a Registered Nurse at both Paterson and Wayne General Hospital. She was a member of Ocean County Evangelical Free Church, and a former member of Sixth Reformed Church in North Haledon.

Alice was predeceased by her loving husbands Adrian Vander Groef (1976) and Martin Touw (2000). Beloved mother of Bette (Vander Groef) DaGiau and husband Peter of Clifton, and stepmother to Barbara Lyle of Princeton, Robert Touw of PA, and Deborah Grim of TX. Alice leaves behind 3 granddaughters, 7 step-grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, and 10 step great-grandchildren.

Alice’s family will receive family and friends on Sunday, September 12, 2021, from 2 PM – 5 PM at the Vander Plaat – Vermeulen Memorial Home, 530 High Mountain Road, Franklin Lakes, NJ.
