Obituary for Aimee Nappa (Quero Chiesa)

Aimee Nappa (Quero Chiesa), 87, of Franklin Lakes, died peacefully in her home on September 19th. Her beloved husband of 65 years, Frank was by her side. Aimee was born in New York and lived in Franklin Lakes since 1966. She attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and was a fashion designer for Helen Harper Knitwear in New York before retiring to raise her family. She loved to return to New York often to shop, dine and visit the museums. She was a member of the Metropolitan Museum of Art as well as the Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes and the Wyckoff Family YMCA.

Aimee devoted herself to her husband and four children, Diane Alexander and her partner Arthur Adelman of Sea Cliff New York, Jeanne Arpert and her husband Douglas of Ocean Grove, NJ, David Nappa and his wife Monette of Belle Mead, NJ and Ellen Gifford and her husband Ben of Wyckoff. She loved her grandchildren Emily, John, Eric, Jack, Isabel, Nicolas, Sara, Grace and Lily.

Aimee had many treasured friends. One called her a “one of a kind fashionista, with style, grace and beauty.” She will be sorely missed. At the family’s request all services and cremation will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donatios may be sent in Aimee Nappa's memory to the Wyckoff Family YMCA, 691 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ or Weill Cornell Hospital, New York, NY.
